Denmark s Kompasbank gets license 17 March 2021
2 Kompasbank, a digital startup targeting Denmark s SMEs, has received its banking license from the country s Financial Supervisory Authority. The bank, slated to open in the summer, is the brainchild of Michael Hurup Andersen, a financial services industry veteran who has previously worked at Saxo Bank and Deloitte.
The venture has built a digital infrastructure that it says will help differentiate it from traditional banks, specifically in the collection and processing of data.

Joann is celebrating spring with a new docu-style webisode starring actress Phyllis Smith. Titled Ring in Spring with Phyllis, the scripted film follows Phyllis as she humorously attempts to pull off a makeshift wedding for the couple next door.
The episode features notable DIY design expert Rebecca Propes who helps bring Phyllis’ wedding planning aspirations to life so that her neighbors don’t have to get married in a courthouse. Because, according to Phyllis, “that’s disgusting” (she thought they said outhouse).
Created in partnership with creative agency Where Eagles Dare, the episode will live on Joann s website and YouTube, with a corresponding video tutorial that provides step-by-step instructions for each craft. In this case, Propes will show how to create a paper flower bouquet.

The award goes to retailers who provide exceptional experiences and outstanding customer support and is based on customer ratings.
Crutchfield has received this award for a record 21 consecutive years, as long as the award has been in existence.
“It’s all about our people. We have 750 employees, they are working in the contact center, they’re working at home, they’re working in our corporate headquarters doing a variety of different jobs, dealing with customers, doing accounting, merchandising, marketing, everything that it takes to keep us satisfying our customers,” Crutchfield Customer Experience Executive Kurt Goodwin said.

Revolut leaves Canada UK-based fintech player Revolut is leaving Canada after failing to exit beta in the country.
Revolut, which has been aggressively expanding around the world over the last two years, began a Canadian beta more than 18 months ago but has now emailed users in the country to tell them that this has been ended.
The email, first seen by local site BetaKit, says: This has been a difficult decision, but we’ll do everything we can to make this process as smooth as possible for you.
